1. Key principles
ASTEO never asks for your full account password. ASTEO never asks for authentication codes, OTPs or card details through unofficial channels. Never share such information with anyone claiming to represent ASTEO.
2. How to verify a communication
Always check the sender's address and contact details. Official communications come only from the channels listed at the end of this document. If in doubt, do not reply and contact us through the official channels.
3. How to recognise fake websites
Check the site address carefully. Be wary of domains similar but not identical to the official ones, of missing certificates and of requests for payment to accounts not attributable to ASTEO.
4. Phishing
Be wary of e-mails or messages that prompt urgent action, contain unexpected attachments or links requesting the entry of credentials. Do not click on suspicious links and do not enter confidential data on pages reached from such messages.
5. Social engineering
Fraudsters may pose as an operator, adviser or fund-recovery agent to gain your trust. No genuine operator will ever ask you to install remote-control software to operate on your behalf or to transfer funds as security for alleged gains.
6. Fake accounts and profiles
Be wary of social profiles, messaging groups, promises of guaranteed returns and alleged operators using the ASTEO name or logo without verifiable attribution to the official channels.
7. What to do in case of suspected fraud
If you suspect you have been contacted by a fraudulent party, or that you have disclosed confidential data, stop all contact, change your credentials where possible and inform us immediately through the official channels. Where appropriate, report the matter to the competent authorities.
